Introduction

Most of the orders I receive are for special  commissions for pets, portraits, holidays, names, anniversaries etc. so this leaflet is really intended as a guide to prices and range. The only limitation is the shape and surface area of the bobbins, so please ring or email for details.
 I have also included here some of the most popular subjects offered recently at lace days and fairs including Christmas and other festivals, also animals, insects/bees and birds.
The bobbins I use are specially turned by Acorn Bobbins, Graham Hudson and Chris Parsons. Please ring or email for details of the various styles if you are not sure, or look at the web site. Midland and Honiton bobbins are available, Continental and others by request. 

The designs are first drawn in pencil and then painted using gouache and water colours. They are then sealed with several coats of gloss varnish.  The bobbins are fully spangled in matching colours, with painted wooden/bone centre beads. 

When ordering ‘specials’ and ‘super specials’ please enclose good quality colour photographs of your pets etc and also clearly printed inscriptions/names that you would like included. If photos are to be returned or an acknowledgement of your order, please enclose a SAE.
- I regularly attend The National Lacemaker’s Fair at Cranmore Park Solihull,  Birmingham; The Harrogate Lace Event and The Devon Lace Teachers Lace Fair  at Exeter.
- I am happy to receive mail orders at anytime, however I can not usually accept large orders between September and December.
- UK orders: Please send cheque with order, payable to Janet Retter, unless a prior arrangement has been made.
- Overseas orders – Please pay by money orders in pound sterling or by PayPal
- All prices include spangle
- Please add £3.00 to list price for bone
